SH4R and SH4R-2
The SH4R and SH4R-2 cover extension adapters are already attached to the front cover
and need to be manually extended. See Installing the Front Cover Extension for more
information.

If you are using the breakout cables with the MPO24 connectors, use the largest
extension.
Guide Rail Kits
The depth and weight of a populated SH4R, SH4R-2, or SH1R requires that you install
one of these guide rail kits. The guide rail kits include all available mounting brackets for
your shelf.
A guide rail kit is required for an SH1R installed in a four-post rack.
However, it is not needed for an SH1R installed in a two-post rack.
