DC Power Electrical Safety Guidelines and Warnings
Disconnecting DC Power Warnings
ELECTRIC VOLTAGEWARNING
Risk of electric shock, burns, or fire.
Do not connect or disconnect a DCpower cable if voltage is
applied. Always remove power from supply leads before
connecting or disconnecting DC power cables. Ignoring these
instructions results in burns and damage of the plug/socket
combination by causing electrical arcing.
ELECTRIC VOLTAGEWARNING
Always remove all power cables when disconnecting from the power
source.
Electric Arc Warning
ELECTRIC VOLTAGEWARNING
Risk of burns due to electric arc.
l Do not connect or disconnect live DC power cables with plugs
to prevent arcing. Turn off DC supply first.
l Securely tighten the captive screws on the DC power plug.
Failure to do so can result in an electrical arc if the connector
plug is accidentally removed.
Electric arc may lead to fire or eye injury.
Electrical Protective Grounding Warnings
ELECTRIC VOLTAGEWARNING
Always connect the protective ground conductor to the protective
ground terminal first when connecting DC power to the equipment.
If power is supplied without the protective grounding, there is a
risk of severe electric shock and personal injury.
