ACPower Overview
The SH12, SH4R, and SH1R can be powered by AC power. The AC power cables are
connected to the ACPSMs.
This procedure applies only to the SH4R and SH1R. The SH12 uses
DCpower, so this procedure is not applicable.
The number of ACpower cables needed depends on your redundant,
load-sharing mode configuration. For more information, see Number of
ACPower Cables
To achieve power redundancy, each PSM must have its own AC
receptacle.
The reliability can be increased by connecting the receptacles to different
power phases.
ADVA Optical Networking recommends having two power sources.
If you only have one and it fails, the shelf will cease operation.
