Troubleshooting Infrastructure Modules
ManagementPort LEDs
Two LEDs for each management (Ethernet RJ-45) port indicate the link status/activity
and rate of the connection.

Green On steadily Normal operation. No action is required.
Green Blinking Traffic is received. No action is required.
Dark (unlit) Off The port admin state is
disabled or
unassigned, or no
signal is received.
1. Use the management software to
check the port admin state. If the
port admin state is disabled or
unassigned, set it to "In Service."
2. Check if the cable is correct. To
establish a direct connection to a
PC, use the crossover cable. To
connect the CEMto a hub or
switch, use a straight-through
cable.
3. To check if the cable is faulty,
swap it with another of the same
type.
4. Try using a different PC or a
different interface on a hub or
switch.
