Green On steadily The link is operating at
1 Gb/s.
No action is required.
Dark (unlit) Off The link is operating at
10 Mb/s or 100 Mb/s,
the port admin state is
disabled or
unassigned, or the link
cannot be established
due to:
Faulty or incorrect
cable
Faulty PC or hub
connected to the
CEM.
If the link is operating at 10 Mb/s or
100 Mb/s, no action is required.
Otherwise, follow these steps:
1. Use the management software to
check the port admin state. If the
port admin state is disabled or
unassigned, set it to "In Service."
2. Check if the cable is correct. To
establish a direct connection to a
PC, use the crossover cable. To
connect the CEM to a hub or
switch, use a straight-through
cable.
3. To check if the cable is faulty,
swap it with another of the same
type.
4. Try using a different PC or a
different interface on a hub or
switch.
