Most HD shelves come with the 19-inch mounting brackets preinstalled.
To install the shelves in a 23-inch or ETSI rack, the 19-inch mounting
brackets may need to be removed and the appropriate mounting brackets
installed.
Required Tools and Equipment
l ESD-preventive wrist strap or other personal grounding device
l Suitable grounded surface or a static-dissipative mat
l Appropriate mounting bracket pair and screws for your configuration (19-inch, 23-inch,
or ETSI)
l Left and right guide rails and screws (from SH4R and SH4R-2 guide rail kit — ETSI
four-post rack only)
l Left and right guide rails and screws (from SH1R guide rail kit)
l Mounting bracket adapters (from SH4R and SH4R-2 guide rail kit — ETSI four-post
rack only)
l Phillips screwdriver (for SH1R)
l Torx T10 screwdriver (for the SH12 fixing bracket screws)
l Torx T20 screwdriver
For the SH4R, SH4R-2, and SH1R, the mounting brackets are included
with the appropriate guide rail kit or mounting bracket kit.
