Inspecting the HD Equipment
12. If no damage was discovered for the shelf or any modules, proceed to the next
chapter to install the shelf.
13. If you have discovered any damage, have incorrect components, or are missing any
equipment:
a. If any damage has occurred during transportation, immediately report the extent
of damage by filing a claim with the transportation company. Notify your ADVA
Optical Networking customer service representative or ADVA Optical
Networking. Have the following information ready:
o
Invoice number of shipper
o
Name of the damaged unit
o
Serial number and item number of the damaged unit
o
Description of damage
o
Effect of damage on the installation
If damaged equipment must be returned to the factory, see Returning Equipment.
Order replacement equipment, if necessary.
b. If any standard item is missing, notify your ADVA Optical Networking customer
service representative or ADVA Optical Networking immediately.
c. If the configuration of the system is not conforming to the ordered one, follow your
company policy or contact ADVA Optical Networking customer service
representative or ADVA Optical Networking.
