Installing the Mounting Brackets on a 1U Shelf
1. Verify that you are properly grounded with an anti-static wrist strap or heel strap
connected to the grounded ESDjack.
2. If the 19-inch brackets are pre-installed on the shelf and you want to attach 23-inch or
ETSI brackets, use the Torx T20 screwdriver to remove the screws attaching the 19-
inch brackets to the shelf. Set aside the screws and bracket.
3. Place the appropriate mounting bracket on one side of the shelf in the correct
position. Attach it in the appropriate location, depending on the rack/cabinet depth.
4. Place the other mounting bracket on other side of the shelf in the correct position.
Attach it in the appropriate location, depending on the rack/cabinet depth.

5. Use the Torx T20 screwdriver and the two screws to attach the appropriate mounting
bracket to one side of the shelf.
6. Repeat this procedure for the other mounting bracket.
Save the remaining mounting brackets and packaging material for future
use.
