The STYLES transmit up to 8 simultaneous channels of midi
data depending on how many tracks are being used. The
channels used are as follows:
DRUMS: Channel 9
BASS: Channel 10
ACC1: Channel 11
ACC2: Channel 12
ACC3: Channel 13
ACC4: Channel 14
ACC5: Channel 15
ACC6: Channel 16
Using the above information, you can connect the Genesys
Ensemble to an external sound module or sequencer and
play as normal. Everything you play will be transmitted to
the external device on the channel indicated above.
MIDI Channels
If you wish to change any of the above channels, press the
MIDI button and make sure that MIDI LOCK is turned off,
(the background should be white instead of black).
Also make sure that MIDI CHANNELS (F1) is selected
Now you are free to change any of the chan-
nels. Since the styles use eight channels to
themselves, they use a separate display
which can be selected by pressing the PART
button below the screen.
