The vocal harmony group is comprised of yourself and up to
four additional singers or harmony voices. The two sliders
in the VOCAL GENIUS section allow you to easily adjust the
volume of yourself, (MIC slider) and the volume of the har-
mony voices, (GENIUS slider). If you want, you can turn
yourself off completely and just listen to the harmony group.
These harmony voices are actually just copies of your own
voice which are transposed in pitch to create a musical har-
mony. The harmony itself is taken from the chord that you
played with your left hand. Try singing the same note while
you play different chords on the keyboard. Notice how the
harmony changes to match the chord you are playing.
With the VOCAL GENIUS set up in this way, you can play and
sing while using the styles. The harmony voices will auto-
matically follow the chords of the song which you are play-
ing.
Changing the Harmony Settings
You can change the way that the harmony singers behave
by pressing the EDIT button.
This screen tells you which of the harmony voices are cur-
rently active and which are muted.
You can un-mute any of the muted voices by clicking the
related button on the left side.
