Now try changing all of the settings; choose a different
style and a different sound, make a few more adjustments
and then store the resulting settings into memory number
3 using the same procedure as before.
To recall the settings youve memorized, simply press the 2 or
3 button, (without pressing STORE first). Youll find the instru-
ment set exactly as it was when you stored the memories.
Memory Banks
As you can see there are 8 memory buttons on the front panel
but the instrument has more than just 8 memories. There is
actually a total of 1024 memories. These memories are di-
vided into 128 banks with each bank containing 8 memo-
ries.
When you recall a memory by pressing one of the numbered
buttons 1-8, the lower part of the display will tell you which
memory number you selected (on the left) and, most impor-
tantly, which bank it was in (on the right).
The memories you just stored probably went into bank 1. So
we can say that bank 1 is the current bank. So far, weve
just stored memories by pressing STORE and then pressing
a numbered button. When you do this, the memory is auto-
matically stored into the current bank.
Press the STORE button again but, this time, dont press any
other buttons. You will see a window in the display which
offers you a number of options.
