The second input, marked LINE/R can be used either for a
second microphone or another instrument but this input
will not pass through the harmony function. Dont connect
anything to this input for the moment.
Once your microphone is connected, youll need to check
that everything is working correctly. First, make sure that
the microphone is switched on then turn on the ON/OFF
button in the VOCAL GENIUS section.
Now test the microphone, increasing the MIC volume slider
as you speak. If you still cannot hear the sound of your
voice through the speakers or if the level is very soft, try
adjusting the sensitivity control next to the inputs on the
back panel. This control has an inner and outer knob: one
for each input. The sensitivity control for the input were
using is the inner knob.
By now you should be able to hear something from the
microphone. Try to set the sensitivity to a suitable level so
that the MIC volume slider offers a good range of control.
Remember that the MAIN volume slider on the left side of
the instrument also controls the overall microphone vol-
ume. If youve set the microphone fairly loud but the main
volume is only set at about 50%, the microphone will prob-
ably be much too loud if you increase the main volume.
