The pre-stretching can be set between 50% and 70% by selecting the wheel pairs (1 or 2) on
the wrapping arm.
• Upper pair of wheels (1) 50% pre-stretching
• Lower pair of wheels (2) 70% pre-stretching
The following work steps must be performed on both sheet holders (both sheet holders must
always have the same setting):
1. Loosen the threaded pins (3)
2. Select the appropriate pair of wheels (1 or 2) and secure with threaded pins (3).
Check Pre-stretching
Example for a pre-stretching of 70%
• Mark the sheet on the roll with 2 lines in a distance of 10 cm
• Measure the distance between the two lines, after the sheet has been wrapped on the bale
In the event of a pre-stretching of 70%, the dimension is now approx. 17 cm.
A too strong pre-stretching is probable if a considerably larger number of bales can be wrapped
with a roll or if the sheet gets crosswise to small.
Note
In the event of overstretching, cancel the wrapping immediately and continuate only if the
problem has been eliminated.
The width of the stretched sheet, measured on the flat end of the bale, should be at a original
width of:
• 500 mm not less than 400 mm,
• 750 mm not less than 600 mm.
