15.2 Before the Start of the New Season

DANGER! - During repair, maintenance, cleaning work or technical interventions on the
machine, drive elements can start moving.
Effect: Risk of death, injuries or damage to the machine.
• Turn off the tractor engine, remove the ignition key and take it with you.
• Disconnect the 12 V power supply voltage.
• Secure the machine and tractor against rolling.
• Turn off and disengage the PTO shaft
• After repair, maintenance, cleaning work or technical interventions on the machine, replace
all protective covers and safety devices correctly.
• Avoid oil, grease, cleaning agents and solvents coming into contact with the skin.
• Hydraulic fluids escaping at high pressure can cause severe injuries. In the event of injuries
or burns due to oils, cleaning agents or solvents, contact a physician immediately.
• To prevent injury and accidents, follow all safety instructions.

• Before placing the machine in service again, trigger a tying or wrapping process and run
through it manually. As you do, check the functions of the starting devices of the tying or
wrapping process.
• Grease all lubrication points and oil the chains. Wipe away grease that comes out of
lubrication points.
• Check the oil level in the main drive gearbox and top up if necessary.
• Check hydraulic hoses and lines for leaks and replace them if necessary.
• Check all screws to make certain they are tight or retighten them if necessary.
• Check all electrical connection cables and the lighting. Repair or replace if necessary.
• Check the entire setting of the machine and correct if necessary.
• Check the operating functions.
• Re-read the operating instructions thoroughly.
