Front driveshaft gaiter, wheel side: Removal - Refitting

a Pull out the stub axle bowl using the (11) and the ex-
tractor (Emb. 880) (12) .
a Remove:
-the locking ring (9) ,
-the driveshaft gaiter (3) .
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a
a parts always to be replaced: Front driveshaft
gaiter, wheel side.
a parts always to be replaced: wheel side front
driveshaft seal locking ring.
a Always replace:
- the small securing clip,
- the big securing clip.
a Use a CLEANING STATION to clean the driveshaft
and the stub axle bowl.
II - REFITTING OPERATION
a Fit the small tightening clip (2) to the driveshaft.

Never use thinner to clean the components.
Note:
It is essential to use the prescribed volume of
grease (see ) .
