MECHANICAL COMPONENT CONTROLS
Pedal yoke: Removal - Refitting
LEFT-HAND DRIVE

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove the pedal yoke nuts (5) .
a Cut the insulating foam to extract the pedal yoke, if
necessary.
a Remove the pedal yoke.
a In the event of replacement, remove the brake pedal
(see 37A, Mechanical component controls,
Brake pedal: Removal - Refitting, page 37A-26) .
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Always replace the parts always to be replaced:
Connecting shaft between the brake pedal and
the brake servo pushrod.
a Coat the shaft with MOLYCOTE 33M grease (see
Vehicle: Parts and consumables for the repair)
(MR 388, 04B, Consumables - Products).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a In the event of replacement, refit the brake pedal
(see 37A, Mechanical component controls,
Brake pedal: Removal - Refitting, page 37A-26) .
a Refit the pedal yoke.
a Torque tighten the pedal yoke nuts (21 N.m).
a Couple the steering column and the steering box
(see 36A, Steering assembly, Steering column:
Removal - Refitting, page 36A-7) .
a Refit a new connecting shaft between the brake pe-
dal and the brake servo pushrod (pre-lubricated):
- insert the shaft in accordance with (7) ,
- lock the shaft in accordance with (8) .
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the pedal insulation (if fitted to the vehicle),
-the brake pedal switch (see 37A, Mechanical
component controls, Brake pedal switch: Re-
moval - Refitting, page 37A-27) .
a Check that the whole clutch system operates cor-
rectly.
