a
a Disconnect the clutch control pipe on the clutch
slave cylinder by pressing the clip (37) .
a Recover the brake fluid in a container.
a Fit blanking plugs in the pipe openings.
a Remove the lower engine tie-bar (see 19D, Engine
mounting, Lower engine tie-bar: Removal - Refit-
ting, page 19D-8) .
a Remove:
- the bolts (38) from the exhaust flange,
- the exhaust bracket ring.
a Move aside the exhaust pipe.
a Remove the front axle subframe (see Front axle
subframe: Removal - Refitting) (31A, Front axle
components).

WARNING
Do not pull the clip. If it is incorrectly handled in
any way, the pipe will need to be replaced.

Pull the exhaust pipe backwards.
