Notes for Tables 6-9 and 6-10 (continued):
3. When this parameter is set to ENABLE, the audible beeper can be used to notify the operator if an alarm condition exists. During pro-
longed alarm conditions, the user may wish to disable the beeper until the condition is corrected. It is recommended that this parame-
ter remain enabled. Alarms may not be noticed if the display is in the READ or PROGRAM mode, or if the RFL 9300 is not being
manned and the user is depending on the beeper to indicate an alarm condition.
4. When this parameter is shown, the [8] and [0] keys can be used to increase or decrease the display intensity (or brightness). When
the setting is changed, the bottom line of the display will change to the new intensity, while the top line unit remains constant as a ref-
erence. When the [ENT] key is pressed, both lines assume the new intensity setting.
5. In dual-channel systems, either channel number may be displayed if COMM MODE (Parameter #48) is set to AUTO.
6. Settings for phase inverse time-overcurrent backup parameters:
(Parameters 31, 32, 33 are only programmable if parameter #30 is enabled.)

8. Backup enable/disable is not a programmable parameter when the stub-bus function is active (see paragraph 3.13).
9. Open Conductor - Parameter #39 – not programmable when single-pole trip is active.
10. Selective Pole Relaying - Parameter #141 – programmable only when single-pole trip is active.
11. Three trip release methods are available - Parameter #145:
CS+TRIP - Output trip will unlatch when both the internal Phase Controller trip and DC trip current sense signals
are no longer active.
TRIP+100 - Output trip will be unlatched 100ms after the internal Phase Controller trip signal is no longer active.
TRIP + 0 - Output trip will be released with 0ms delay when the internal Phase Controller trip signal becomes inactive.
