6.4.4.2 PARAMETER PROGRAMMING
Parameters must be displayed before they can be programmed. Two different methods can be used to display
parameters. The first method is to use the [ENT] and [9] keys to scroll through the parameter list. The second
method is to manually enter the parameter number listed in Tables 6-9 or 6-10 as applicable.
For example, if you want to select the local phase fault detector current, press the [.], [2], [5], and [ENT] keys to
select Parameter #25 ("FD PHASE" - Local Phase Fault Detector Current). Once the parameter is displayed,
press the [8] or [0] keys until the desired value is displayed on the bottom line of the display. All programmable
values and settings are factory preset; non-standard values cannot be entered.
When the desired phase fault detector value appears on the bottom line of the display, press the [ENT] key.
This will send the new phase fault detector value to the RFL 93A SV Supervisor Module. The RFL 93A
DISPLAY module saves the new setting in its non-volatile memory. The next parameter (Parameter #26, "FD
GND" - Local Ground Fault Detector Current) will be displayed.
NOTE
Any new settings you make do not become active until you exit the PROGRAM mode. Until
then, the RFL 9300 remains active under the old parameter settings.
6.4.4.3 EXITING THE PROGRAM MODE
To exit the PROGRAM mode, proceed as follows:
1. Press the [.] key, followed by the [0] and [ENT] keys.
The word "EXIT" will appear on the top line of the display, with the word "DISABLE" on
the bottom line.
2. Press the [8] key once.
The word "ENABLE" will appear on the bottom line of the display.
3. Press the [ENT] key.
The message "SEC CODE" will appear on the display. This means that you must enter a
security code before the RFL 9300 will exit the PROGRAM mode. Press the [.], [2], [4],[8]
and [ENT] keys to enter the required security code.
The RFL 9300 will return to the STANDBY mode, and the display will return to the moving dot pattern.
