RFL 9300DCDR
Requiring approximately one ampere of load current, the RFL
9300 offers the unique ability to confirm the wiring of the
relay.
The program disables all trip outputs, and first confirms that
positive phase rotation exists between the currents applied
to the “A”, “B” and “C” phase controllers at all terminals.
The second part of the program requires the operator at each
terminal to bypass the “A” phase current and produce a 3I
0
current in the relay. If the 3I
0
phase controller is correctly
wired, a positive phase rotation will be detected between
the currents applied to the “B”, “C”, and 3I
0
phase control-
lers.
The third and final part of the test, transmits the Charge value
of the current in the “A” phase controller between all termi-
nals. Each relay will display the max differential current de-
tected in the system. Correctly wired relays on an untapped
transmission line will display zero differential current. Cor-
rectly wired relays on a tapped transmission line will display
the value of the current drawn by the tap.
