positioningsystem(GPS)connectedtotheST90,thevessel’scurrentgeographical
positioncanbepresentedintheuserinterface.Itwillalsoprovidelatitudeandlongitude
informationforthecursorandmarker(s).Inadditiontonavigationaldata,theglobal
positioningsystem(GPS)canalsobeusedtoprovidespeedinformation.

MotionReferenceUnit(MRU)
Inordertooperatecorrectly,theST90requiresinputfromamotionreferenceunit
(MRU).Bydefault,theST90usesabuilt-inmotionsensor.Itisplacedinsidethe
MotorControlUnit.Forimprovedoperationalaccuracy,anexternalmotionreference
unit(MRU)maybeused.
Note
Withouttheinputfromamotionreferencesensor,theST90willnotbeabletocompensate
forthevesselmovements.ThislackofcompensationwillpreventtheST90from
providingcorrectechoinformation.
