Thegatevalveisplacedatthebottomofthetransducerdock.Itwillthenincreasethe
totalheightofthehullunitinstallation.
•Thehullunitlowersthetransducerdowntoaspecieddepthbelowtheship’ shull.
Thisdepthisdecreasedwiththephysicalheightofthegatevalve.Itisfurther
decreasedwiththeheightofthemountingange.
•TheST90allowsyoutodeneamiddlepositionforthetransducer .Whenyoudene
themiddleposition,youmusttakethetotalheightofthegatevalveandthemounting
angeintoconsideration.
TheST94HullUnitlowersthetransducerto2.1metresbelowthehull.Thishullunit
isabetterchoiceifagatevalveisused.

TheST90canbesetupforextendedoperationalrange.
Duetointernationalregulations,sonarswithanoperationalrangeexceeding5000meters
cannotbeexportedtocertaincountrieswithoutanexportlicense.Forthisreasonthe
maximumrangeontheST90hasbeenlimitedto4500meters.Ifanexportlicenceis
obtained,therangeontheST90canbeextendedtoitsmaximumcapacity.
