TheaudiooutputprovidedbytheST90addssoundtotheuserexperience.Many
experiencedusersndtheaudioinformationveryuseful.Theyclaimthattheaudio
informationincreasestheefciencyoftheST90.Atrainedeareasilydetectsechoes
bythewaytheysound.
Touseaudio,youmustconnectanamplierwithloudspeakerstotheaudiooutputonthe
ProcessorUnit.Y oucanuseanamplierwithaheadset,oracommercialPCspeaker
system.Theaudiosystemmustbeprovidedwithaseparatevolumecontrol.
Thenecessaryaudiocomponentsmustbepurchasedlocally.
Abouttheaudiooutput
TheaudiooutputontheProcessorUnitisalineoutput.Nopoweramplierisprovided
tocreatesound.
Theaudiooutputmustthereforebeconnectedtoapoweredaudiosystem.Theaudio
systemmustbeprovidedwithaseparatevolumecontrol.TheMutebuttononthe
OperatingPanelenablesordisablestheaudiooutput.Itdoesnotprovidevolumecontrol.
Note
Donotconnectaloudspeakerdirectlytotheaudiooutput.Thismaydamagetheaudio
outputcircuitry.
Werecommendthatoneofthefollowingoptionsisusedforaudio.
•CommercialpoweredloudspeakersforPCuse.
•Commercialstereosystemwithamplierandtwo(ormore)loudspeakers.
•Headphonesforuseonanyoftheampliersystems.
