31. REMOVE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY
FROM VEHICLE
(a) Attach the engine chain hoist to the engine hangers.
(b) Remove the four bolts holding the RH and LH engine
mounting insulators to the body mountings.
(c) Lift the engine and transmission assembly out of the
vehicle slowly and carefully.
HINT: Make sure the engine is clear of all wiring,
hoses and cables.
NOTICE: Be careful not hit the PNP switch.
(d) Place the engine and transmission assembly onto the
stand.

REMOVE CLUTCH COVER AND DISC

REMOVE NO.2 FRAME CROSSMEMBER
(a) Remove the four bolts holding the engine rear mou–
nting insulator to the frame crossmember.
(b) Raise the transmission slightly with a jack.
(c) Remove the eight bolts holding the frame crossme–
mber to the side frame. Remove the frame crossme–
mber.
(b) Raise the transmission slightly by raising the engine
with a jack.
(c) Remove the four bolts holding the mounting bracket
to the support member, and remove the mounting
bracket.
