5. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT TIMING PULLEY
(See step 21 on page EG2–36)
6. REMOVE OIL PAN
(a) Remove the seventeen bolts and two nuts.
(b) Using SST and a brass bar, separate the oil pan from
the baffle plate.

HINT: When removing the oil pan, be careful not to
damage the oil pan flange.
