Tuning Chapter 9
Autotuning via KNX5100C Software
Autotuning can also be performed using KNX5100C software. When the drive
and motor are connected, and the drive is online with the KNX5100C software,
follow these steps to autotune the drive.
There are two options available that determine how the motor is commanded to
drive.
• host controller plans the path and issues the command to drive the motor
• drive plans the path and issues the command to drive the motor
Connect to Drive and Select Autotuning
1. Select Add New Drive from the New menu.
2. On the New Device dialog box, click Add.
ATTENTION: The motor rotates during this tuning procedure. Hazard of
personal injury exists due to motor shaft rotation and/or machinery motion.
