Making A Music CD
The process of making, (or burning), a CD is surprisingly
simple. The songs that you wish to include on your CD
must already be in the WAVE folder on the Genesys En-
semble hard disk. This is where all your hard disk record-
ings are automatically stored so anything youve recorded
in the past should already be there.
If you want to include midifiles or instrumental songs that
youve recorded without vocals using the EASY SONG or
SONG process, these must first be converted to WAVE for-
mat before they can be copied to a CD. For instructions on
doing this, refer to the Other Ways To Use The WAVE Re-
corder section of the RECORDING STUDIO chapter. These
instructions will tell you how to record your song while sing-
ing or playing along. To convert an instrumental song to a
WAVE file, just follow these instructions without singing or
playing anything during recording, (and make sure that
the microphone is disconnected and that the VOCAL GE-
NIUS section is turned off).
If you want, you can also take a track from any normal
music CD and convert it into a WAVE file so that this be-
come one of the tracks on your new CD. To do this, follow
the instructions under the heading How to convert a CD
track to a WAVE file in the VOCAL REMOVER section of the
RECORDING STUDIO chapter.
Once converted, the track will appear in the WAVE folder as
another track which can be copied to your new CD.
Remember that all commercial CDs are strictly copy-
righted and you cannot burn copyrighted material to a
blank CD without the permission of the publisher.
