The ranges are all defined in terms of impedance. Therefore, for a parameter other than
impedance, the value is obtained by calculating from the measured values of |Z| and .

Setting AUTO Ranging
AUTO
The most suitable test range is set automatically.
(This allows the most suitable measurement range to be set when measuring, for
example, a test sample whose impedance varies greatly with frequency or a test
sample whose nature is unknown.)
HOLD
The test range is fixed, and may only be altered manually.
(When the range is fixed, high-speed measurement is possible.)
