Parameter #s 48 - 49 These parameters control the hot standby communications channel. If your
RFL 9300 terminals are installed with a hot standby communications channel,
setting Parameter #48 to AUTO will allow the RFL 9300 to switch automatically
between channels every 12 hours. If Parameter #48 is set to MAN, the hot
standby communications channel will be selected by Parameter #49. The hot
standby feature is not applicable in 3-terminal mode. Units must be configured
for 2-terminal only and each unit must have dual communication channels.
When hot standby is active the user may not change the active channel
through APRIL.
Parameter #s 51 - 52 These parameters control the baud rate and handshaking protocol for the RFL
9300's RS-232 serial port. They must be set to match the equipment being
connected to the RS-232 port (J1) on the rear-panel relay I/O module. "2400
baud" and "XON/XOFF" should work in most applications. (See table 6-5 for
more information.
Parameter #s 53 - 77 These parameters are the remote 1 unit's programmable variables. None of
these values can be changed at the local unit. These values and settings are
sent to the RFL 93A DISPLAY module by the remote 1 terminal, and are up-
dated once a second.
Parameter #s 76 and 101 These parameters are the ping-pong (round-trip delay), trip status alarms and
CDC conditions that exist at the remote unit. These are read-only values, and
cannot be programmed at the local RFL 9300.
Parameter #s 78 - 101 These parameters are the remote 2 unit's programmable variables. None of
these values can be changed at the local unit. These values and settings are
sent to the RFL 93A DISPLAY module by the remote 2 terminal, and are up-
dated once a second.
Parameter #s 103 - 110 These parameters list the software version for each module in the local RFL
9300. These are read-only parameters that cannot be changed in the field.
Parameter #s 111 or 0 These parameters are the EXIT parameters. They are used to leave any of the
RFL 9300's display modes and return to the STANDBY mode.
Parameter #s 140 - 141 These are the local relay’s single-pole-trip parameters. Single-pole trip ac-
tive/inactive is jumper selectable on the 93B SV card (J5). Selective pole relay-
ing is a programmable parameter. (see 4.2.33)
Parameter # 145 Trip release codes for the local relay. (see 4.2.34)
Parameter #s 160 - 161 Single-pole trip parameters for the remote 1 relay.
Parameter # 165 Trip release code for the remote 1 relay.
Parameter #s 180 - 181 Single-pole trip parameters for the remote 2 relay.
Parameter # 185 Trip release code for the remote 2 relay.
