12.4.2 Pendant Switch
The Operation Mode of Software Pendant must be selected carefully
when using Software Pendant.
– MANUAL (TEACH) Mode: Editing is allowed on the Software
Pendant.
– AUTOMATIC (PLAY) Mode: Editing is not allowed.
– REMOTE Mode: If Teach Mode is selected on the Smart Pendant,
settings can be edited only on the Smart Pendant (and not Software
Pendant).
12.4.3 Settings on Software Pendant
The following examples of Software Pendant use are provided:
– Security Mode Change
– Safety Logic Circuit Editing
– File Transfer
– Safety Board Flash Reset
CAUTION
• While the Smart Pendant screen displays “Software Pendant
Connected”, the manipulator cannot be stopped by using [PAUSE].
To stop the manipulator's operation, press the Emergency Stop
button.
• While the Smart Pendant screen displays “Software Pendant
Connected”, the mode of the YRC Controller cannot be changed by
using the Mode Switch. To change the mode of the YRC Controller,
disconnect the Software Pendant and connect the YRC Controller
and the Smart Pendant. When reconnecting the Smart Pendant,
turn the Mode Switch to the same mode as the YRC Controller, and
then press {RECONNECT} on the Smart Pendant screen.
