Create a New User Account
TocreateanewlocalusertotheTotalAccess5000,completethefollowingprocedure:
1. FromtheEnableprompt,type
configure terminal,andpressENTERtoaccesstheGlo‐
balConfigurationprompt.
2. FromtheGlobalConfigurationprompt,type
security,andpressENTERtoaccessthe
SecurityConfigurationprompt.
3. FromtheSecurityConfigurationprompt,type
username WORD,andpressENTERtocreate
anewuserandaccesstheUserConfigurationprompt.
4. FromtheUserConfigurationprompt,type
password,andpressENTERtoaccessthe
PasswordEntryprompt.
5. FromthePasswordEntryprompt,typethepasswordfortheuser,andpress
ENTER.
6. FromtheUserConfigurationprompt,type
privilege [admin|config|read-
only|read-write|test]
,andpressENTERtosettheuserprivilegelevel.
Thedefaultvaluewhenanewuseriscreatedisread‐only.
7. FromtheUserConfigurationprompt,type
no disabletoenabletheusernam e.
8. Type
end,andpressENTERtoreturntotheEnableprompt.
Modify an Existing User Account
TomodifyanexistinguseraccountontheTotalAccess5000,completethefollowing
procedure:

2. FromtheGlobalConfigurationprompt,type
security,andpressENTERtoaccessthe
SecurityConfigurationprompt.
