Modify an Existing EFM Group
ToaddalinktotheEFMgroupattheNetVanta800,completethefollowing:
1. FromtheEnableprompt,typeconfigureterminal,andpressEntertoaccesstheGlobal
Configurationprompt.
2. FromtheGlobalConfigurationprompt,accesstheDS1port’sconfigurationpromptby
typing
no shutdown,andpressENTER.
3. FromtheSHDSLInterfaceConfigurationprompt,enablethedownDS1portsbytyping
no shutdown, andpressENTER.
4. Repeatsteps2to3fortheremainingDS1portstobeaddedtotheEFMgroup.
5. FromtheT1InterfaceConfigurationprompt,type
exit,andpressENTERtoreturntothe
GlobalConfigurationprompt.
6. FromtheGlobalConfigurationprompt,type
interface efm-group 1/0/1,andpress
ENTERtoaccesstheEFMBondingGroupConfigurationprompt.
7. AddtheDS1porttothebondinggroupbytyping
link 0/<port>,andpressENTER.
8. Repeatstep7toaddalldesiredportstotheEFMbondinggroup.
9. Type
end, andpressENTER toreturntotheEnableprompt.
Remove an Existing Link
ToremovealinkfromtheEFMgroupattheNetVanta800,completethefollowing:
1. FromtheEnableprompt,type
configure terminal,andpressENTERtoaccesstheGlo‐
balConfigurationprompt.
2. FromtheGlobalConfigurationprompt,accesstheDS1port’sconfigurationpromptby
typing
interface t1 1/0/<port>,andpressENTER.
3. FromtheT1InterfaceConfigurationprompt,shuttheDS1portdownbytyping
shutdown,andpressENTER.
4. Repeatsteps2to3fortheremainingDS1portstoberemovedfromtheEFMgroup.
5. FromtheT1InterfaceConfigurationprompt,type
exit,andpressENTERtoreturntothe
GlobalConfigurationprompt.
6. FromtheGlobalConfigurationprompt,type
interface efm-group 1/0/1,andpress
ENTERtoaccesstheEFMBondingGroupConfigurationprompt.
7. RemovetheDS1portfromthebondinggroupbytyping
no link 0/<port>,andpress
ENTER.
8. Repeatstep7toremovealldesiredportsfromtheEFMbondinggroup.
9. Type
end, andpressENTER toreturntotheEnableprompt.
