Provisioning Steps
ThisprocedurecreatesaPPPgroupattheCHDS3PPP/MLPPP3‐PortorDS1PPP/MLPPP32‐
PortLineModulethatbondstheDS1channelspassingwithinthephysicallayerportsofthe
accessmoduletogetherintoaPPPgroup.TheDS1PPP/MLPPP32‐PortLineModulesuses
unchannelizedDS1s.
To
createanewPPPgroup,completethefollowingprocedure:
1. FromtheEnableprompt,type
configure terminal,andpressENTERtoaccesstheGlo‐
balConfiguratonprompt.
2. FromtheGlobalConfigurationprompt,type
interface ppp-group <shelf/slot/
group>
,andpressENTERtocreatethePPPgroupandaccessthePPPGroup
Configurationprompt.
Table5‐4displaysthelistofvariablesforconnectingthePPPgroup.
3. FromthePPPGroupConfigurationprompt,type 
alias WORD,andpressENTERtospecify
atextstringaliasthatcanbeusedtoreferencethePPPgroup,whereWORDisthename
