Configure EFM Bonding Management Provisioning
TheNetVanta800InbandManagementconfigurationistiedtotheEFMbondinggroup.
Thus,whenaNetVantaisreplaced,theremotemanagementconfigurationispusheddownso
thattheNetVantaisimmediatelyremoteaccessiblewhenatleastoneDS3linksynchronizes.
NOTE
•Ifprovisioning the NetVanta 800locally,theTotalAccess5000overwrites
theIn bandmanagementprovisioningwhentheDS3portssynchronize
withtheDS3EFMaccessmodule.
•TheInbandmanagementoftheNetVanta 800isco nfiguredattheTotal
Access 5000, and pushed down to the NetVanta 800 as soon as
synchronizationisachievedononeofthelinksofthebondedgroup.
ToconfiguretheEFMbondinggroupmanagementprovisioning,completethefollowing:
1. FromtheEnableprompt,type
configure terminal,andpressENTERtoaccesstheGlo‐
balConfigurationprompt.
2. FromtheGlobalConfigurationprompt,type
interfaceefm-group <shelf/slot/
group>
,andpressENTERtoaccesstheEFMBondingGroupConfigurationprompt.
3. FromtheEFMGroupInte rface Configurationprompt,type
subtended-host ip
address A.B.C.D E.F.G.H
,andpressENTERtoprovisiontheNetVantaManagement
IPaddress(A.B.C.D)andsubnetmask(E.F.G.H).
4. FromtheEFMGroupInte rface Configurationprompt,type
