Modify an Existing Bridge
TherearetwowaystomodifyanexistingEFMbondinggroup.TheEZ‐EFMapplication
allowstheusertoaddorremovealinkto/fromabondinggroupwhilesimultaneouslyspeci‐
fyingthebondinggroupupstreamanddownstreamdatarates.TheEZ‐EFMapplication
automaticallyre‐provisionsalllinksinthe
grouptothenecessarylinkrates,whethertherate
isincreasedordecreased.Thelinksretainandprovidetheprovisioneddatarate.
Thesecondwaytoaddorremovealinkto/fromagroupisbydirectlymodifyingtheEFM
bondinggroupintheEFMBondingGroupConfigurationprompt.Thismethod
doesnot
resultinare‐provisioningofthelinksinthegroup, butcanresultinthelinksnotbeingsetto
theoptimumrates,oreveninthegroupnotprovidingthespecifieddatarateiflinksare
removed.
Modify a Bonding Group with EZ-EFM
TomodifyabondinggroupusingtheEZ‐EFMapplication,completethefollowing:
1. FromtheEnableprompt,type
application,andpressENTERtoaccesstheApplication
Configurationprompt.
2. FromtheApplication Configurationprompt,type
ez-efm 1and pressENTERtostartthe
EZEthernetapplication.
3. FromtheEFMConfigurationprompt,typeoneofthefollowingcommandstomodifyan
existingEFMBondingGroup:
•ToprovisiontheDS3EFM4‐Port,type
modify <group_name> link <slot/
port> upstream <0-250000> downstream <0-250000> active-links-
minimum <1-n>
, andpressENTER.
•ToprovisiontheDS3EFM3‐Port,type
modify <group_name> link <slot/
port:channel> upstream <0-250000> downstream <0-250000> active-
links-minimum <1-n>
, andpressENTER.
