Mounting the SH1R Shelf to a Rack
c. Use a Pozidriv screwdriver and two M6x20screws to attach the right mounting
bracket to the rack. The shelf should rest on top of the guide rails.
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE MAY RESULT IF YOU LIFT THE
SHELF BY INSERTING YOUR HANDS INTO THE SHELF.
Lift from the outside of the shelf to avoid damage.
While positioning the shelf into the rack, keep hold of the grounding cable,
which is attached on the shelf’s reverse side, to not inadvertently jam it.
7. Attach the other end of the grounding cable to the cage nut affixed in Step 4 or to the
preinstalled terminal connector used for the ground point on the rack to ensure
adequate grounding for the shelf.
8. Use a Pozidriv screwdriver and the appropriate screw/washer or a screw (for the
preinstalled terminal connector) to secure the grounding cable to the rack.
9. Use a multimeter to test the grounding connection. The continuity between the shelf
and the rack’s ground point should measure zero Ohms of resistance.
ELECTRIC VOLTAGEWARNING
Testing the grounding connection must be performed only by
service personnel or a qualified/licensed electrician.
