Procedure steps
1. From the navigation tree, double-click Edit
.
2. In the Edit tree, double-click Bridge.
3. On the work area, click the Transparent tab.
4. In the AgingTime dialog box, type a value.
5. On the toolbar, click Apply.
Variable definitions
Variable Value
LearnedEntryDiscards Indicates the number of Forwarding Database entries learned
discarded due
to insufficient space in the Forwarding Database.
If this counter increases, it indicates that the Forwarding
Database is becoming full regularly. This condition affects the
performance of the subnetwork. If the counter has a significant
value and is not presently increasing, it indicates that the
problem has occurred but is not persistent.
AgingTime Indicates the time-out period in seconds for removing old
dynamically learned forwarding information.
Important:
The 802.1D-1990 specification recommends a default of 300
seconds.
