Asset ID string configuration using ACLI
This section
describes the procedures you can perform to configure an asset ID for the switch
or stack using ACLI commands.
Configuring Asset ID string
Perform this procedure to configure asset ID of a switch or stack.
Prerequisites
Log on to Global configuration mode.
Procedure steps
1. T
o configure asset ID enter the following command:
asset-id [stack|unit <1-8>] <WORD>
2. To verify the asset ID settings enter the following command:
show system
Variable definitions
Use the data in the following table to complete the command in this procedure.
Variable Value
Stack Sets the Asset ID of the stack
Unit Sets the Asset ID of a specific unit
WORD Sets the Asset ID of the unit on which it is the
