General Troubleshooting 4-11
4
Check AC supply voltage to the LVPS.
1. Remove the Upper Right Cover.
2. Turn the printer power On.
3. Measure AC voltage at the following test
points on the LVPS:
P/J1-1 <=> P/J1- 4
Is the voltage across pins 1 and 4 equal
to 120V or 220V (line voltage).
Go to LVPS
Procedure
(
page 4-5).
Go to Step 6.
5
Check AC input continuity.
1. Power the Printer off.
2. Check for continuity between the printer
AC power inlet connector and
T 11 <=>T12
Are these conductive?
Verify the Power
Cord is in good
condition and is
the correct cord. If
necessary,
replace the cord.
Verify the GFI
breaker is not
tripped and is
operational. If
problem persists,
repair the AC inlet
connector wiring.
If necessary,
replace the GFI
Breaker
(
page 8-94).
6
Check the AC Voltage from the LVPS to the
Power Switch.
Measure AC voltage at the following test
points on the LVPS
P/J 1 – 3 < = > P/J 1 – 6 + 120V or 220 V
Are the voltages measured within
specification?
Verify or repair
the wiring from
the LVPS to the
Power Switch. If
necessary,
replace Power
Switch
(
page 8-86).
Replace the LVPS
(
page 8-92).
