Tray 1 Pick Up Solenoid
1. Remove the Tray 1/MPT Rear Cover (page 8-16).
2. Remove the Tray 1 Feeder (page 8-32).
3. Remove the Pick Up Gear (page 8-35).
4. Remove the Cam Gear and Spring (page 8-36).

5. Remove the three screws securing the Gear Bracket to the Tray 1 Lower Frame.
6. Remove the one screw securing the Pick Up Solenoid to the Gear Bracket.
7. Disconnect the connector from the Pick Up Solenoid.
8. Lower the Gear Lever in the direction of the arrow and remove the Pick Up
Solenoid.
Cam Gear Spring
1. Remove the Tray 1/MPT Rear Cover (page 8-16).
2. Remove the Tray 1/MPT Feeder (page 8-32).
3. Remove the Feed Roller (page 8-38).
4. Remove the Spring from the Gear Bracket. Leave the other end of the Spring
connected to the Pick Up Gear.
5. Remove the three screws securing the Gear Bracket to the Tray 1 Feeder to
remove the Gear Bracket.
