Maintenance tips:
The malfunction has been confirmed, and the
following problems may possibly exist
1) The circuit connected to the Pin 18# of ECU and
the Pin D# of oxygen sensor in short circuit
2) The circuit connected to the Pin 18# of ECU and
the other power supply circuit in short circuit
Maintenance tips:
The malfunction is not ultimately confirmed and it
may possibly be a random malfunction. Inspect the
following items:
1) Measure the electric resistance for the Pin 18# of
ECU and the Pin D# of oxygen sensor.
2) Measure the voltage for the Pin 18# of ECU.
30. P0133 Upstream Oxygen Sensor Deteriorated Malfunction (Cycle)
Description about Malfunction Cause:
Under normal circumstances, the air-fuel ratio of combustible mixed gas is switched between rich and lean.
Accordingly, the oxygen sensor signal will be represented in a continuous fluctuation in the signal value of
amplitude. After oxygen sensor is aged, the perceptive sensitivity to the mixed gas will drop, which is
represented by a slowed cycle of signal fluctuation. ECU will calculate the mean cycle of signals according to
corresponding algorism, and will determine that the sensor is already aged, if it is found that it is slower than
the preset critical value.
