8. Remove the front windshield;
9. As shown in Fig., install the fixer at the mark
position of glass.
10. As shown in Fig., install the fixer on the
bodywork.
Attention:
No oil stains and dust shall exist in the
bonding part. No hand touch is allowed on
the surface or underlying material to
prevent inferior bonding effect on surfaces
of glass and bodywork that shall result in
water leakage.
11. Smear the primer, with a brush on the mating
parts of pedestal and glass. The glass primer
shall be applied on the glass. The bodywork
primer is only applicable to the pedestal, and
let the coating dry for about 30min.
12. Smear around a layer of sealant to fill up the
clearance between the damping strip and glass.
The thickness of sealant is 14.0mm and the
width 8.0mm.
13. Align the mark on the glass with V-groove of
pad A, and install the glass on the vehicle;
14. Push inward the glass to compress the sealant;
15. Scrape off, the spilled sealant, with a scraper;
16. Clean the excess sealant with unleaded
gasoline;
17. Install the roof (See the Roof,
Disassembly/Assembly of Roof)
18. Install the front wall grille (See External
Accessories——Disassembly/Assembly of
Front Wall Grille)
19. Install the snaps;
20. Install the windshield molding;
21. Install the pedestal (See——Interior Rear-view
Mirrors, Mounting of Pedestal )
22. Install the interior rear-view mirrors
(See——Interior Rear-view Mirrors, Mounting
of Rear-view mirrors)
Removal of rear windshield glass
1. Remove the back door trim panel
(See——Removal of Back Door Trim Panel);
2. Pull out the heating wire joint of rear
windshield defroster;
3. Remove the rear wiper (See——Removal of
Rear Wiper);
4. Lay the protective strip along the border of
bodywork to prevent damage.
