ABS control unit
Foreword
1. Understand the basic process of fault diagnostic for the correct operation.
2. Prior to take the operation steps for the fault diagnostic symptom, check the fault diagnostic first. Carry
out the inspection steps according to the fault diagnostic codes
Statement
When making the check or maintenance of ABS control unit, pay attention to the following points:
Even if the system is normal, the warning light of ABS control unit would be lit, this depends on the
installation and detailed work conditions.
Cases where the warning light of ABS
control unit is likely to lighten up
Conditions where the
warning light of ABS
control unit goes off
Control of ABS control unit
When the front wheel of vehicle is
jacked up by a jack, or clamped or placed
on the roller of chassis, and the front
wheels run at the speed more than 20s
Turn the ignition switch
in the OFF position and
drive the vehicle at the
speed more than 15km/h
and confirm that the
operation is normal.
If the ABS control unit is operating,
it will stop the control after the
completion.
The parking handle is not completely
laid down during the drive in the vehicle
There are scratches on the brake
The vehicle has been suddenly
accelerated or decelerated.
L/R or front/rear tires are not identical
(the size, spokes, tire pressure, wear and
tires are differently labeled)
The battery voltage at the ignition end of
control modular of ABS control unit is
below 10V.
The voltage of battery
increased up to more
than10V.
Continue to apply the control on the
ABS control unit until the battery
voltage decreased lower than 8V.
If the speed exceeded 6km/h, the
battery voltage decreases lower than
10V, the control modular of ABS
control unit will record the fault
codes.
