6 Remove the eight screws (E) securing the scanner controller cage cover to the cage. An X658 model is
represented in the graphic below, however, the card cage cover removal procedure is similar for all models.

7 Remove the printer controller cage cover.
8 Disconnect the USB cable and the cover closed interlock switch harness.
