6.5.3.1 Power reduction AdBlue filling level
1 When the AdBlue® level falls to 15%, the DEF control light shows YELLOW.
2 When the AdBlue® has fallen to approximately 6%, the DEF control light flashes
RED, the LIM control light also turns on.
The engine torque is reduced to 75%. The ramping down takes approximately
1 minute.
3 7 minutes after the AdBlue® tank has fallen to 6%, the DEF control light flashes
RED, and the LIM control light also flashes.
The engine torque drops to 50%. The engine speed is limited to idling speed. The
ramping down takes approximately 3 minutes.
4 If the engine is restarted when the AdBlue® level is less than 6%, the engine only
operates at idling speed.

ADVICE
This type of power reduction is "self-healing", i.e.:
For the full power of the engine to be restored, the tank level must be over 12%. The
tank level must be above 21% for the system to switch off the DEF control light and to
cancel the fault message.
