6.5.3.2 Power reduction AdBlue quality and system error
1 A fault is detected, the DEF control light shows YELLOW.
2 If the fault is not corrected within 3.5 hours, the DEF control light flashes RED, the
LIM control light also turns on.
The engine torque is reduced to 75%. The ramping down takes approximately
1 minute.
3 After another 27 minutes, the DEF control light flashes RED, and the LIM control
light also flashes.
The engine torque drops to 50%. The engine speed is limited to idling speed. The
ramping down takes approximately 3 minutes.
4 When restarted the engine has max. 50% torque, the speed is limited to idling
speed. If there are problems with AdBlue® quality, service tools are required to
reset the system.
5 When system errors are corrected, the full power of the engine is restored.

ADVICE
If another fault occurs within 40 hours of correction of the first fault, the remaining
operating time from the time at which the fault is detected is limited to 30 minutes.
