6.10.2.2 Preselecting offset-steer direction left/right
The direction of offset-steer left or right is preselected using the mini joystick (1). For
this purpose, move mini joystick (1) left/right and hold it for about 2 sec. (preselect off-
set-steer left/right).
Slide mini joystick (1) to the left and hold it for about 2 sec. = preselect offset-steer
left.
Slide mini joystick (1) to the right and hold it for about 2 sec. = preselect off-
set-steer right.
In the offset-steer 2 the machine is articulated and the individual axles are steered in
such a manner, that the tracks of the individual tyres are offset. This increases the tyre
contact area of the machine and protects the arable soil better.
For offset-steer, the direction and stage of articulation may either be preselected dur-
ing standstill or set respectively reset while driving.
For practical reasons, the recommendation is to set the offset-steer stage in standstill.
To the extent required by the individual landscape situation, the offset-steer stage may
be adjusted to the respective situation while driving.
