The central setting mark (4) is provided as a default setting. The inflow sheet can be
set more flat (setting marks 4-7) for withered beet, arid, dry, hanging leaves. It should
be noted that because of the lower adjusted inflow sheet the inflow skid is situated
lower than the flail. Thus, the sheet may be set only so far low, that also the deep-
seated beet is topped. For beet in good condition with plenty of leaf mass the inflow
sheet can be set higher for better crop flow (setting marks 1-4). There is nothing spe-
cial to note therefore. The position of "Setting mark 4" proved itself as the most univer-
sal setting in different tests. The further settings are meant first of all for some extreme
harvesting conditions.
