CVR gearbox (Traction drive)

– Start diesel engine and watch the R-Touch. The warning icon must disappear
from the R-Touch within 10 seconds.
Lubrication CVR gearbox failed!
– If the warning icon does not disappear in 10 sec., shut down the engine immedi-
ately and bleed the gearbox.
– Wait at least 10 minutes and check the oil level again as described above.
– Fill in some oil after in necessary.
Bleeding CVR gearbox
– Put an oil collection vessel under the lubricating oil level monitoring unit (12).
– Only loosen the screw cap (11). In no case totally screw off this screw cap (11). To
avoid splashing around of oil in the engine compartment, wrap a cloth around the
loosened screw cap.
– Close the engine compartment cover and start the diesel engine for approx.
5 seconds. Shut down the diesel engine. The air in the system should now be with-
drawn and the lubrication pump has sucked in oil again.
– Open the engine compartment cover and tighten the screw cap (11) again.
– Close the engine compartment cover and restart the diesel engine. The warning
icon must disappear from the R-Touch within 10 seconds. if it doesn't happen,
repeat the bleeding process again.
