14.5.1. Start logic
TheStart Logic choicedecideswhetherjustone,orallstartconditionsmustbetruefortheCall to Start
tobecometrue.Thisdecideshowthestartconditionswillbeassembledintoalogicalequation.
TheStart Equation isanautomaticallywrittenequationofalltheenabledstartconditions.Ifthereis
morethenonestartcondition,theequationwillbeassembledwith'&'or'|'symbolsaccordingtothe
Start Logic.IfallstartconditionsmustbetruefortheStart Equation toevaluatetotrue,thenthe
equationwillbewrittenas"MyStartCondition1&MyStartCondition2".Ifjustonestartconditionmustbe
truefortheStart Equation toevaluatetotrue,thentheequationwillbewrittenas"MyStartCondition1|
MyStartCondition2".
TheCall to Start isbasedonthelogicalresultoftheStart Equation,astrueorfalse.Forexample,
ifastartconditioncausestheStart Equation tochangefromfalsetotrue,thentheCall to Start will
begincountingdownfortheconfigureddurationoftheEquation Stability Delay.IftheStart Equation
continuestoevaluateastruethroughthewholestabilitydelay,thentheCall to Start willbecomeTrue.
Otherwise,iftheStart Equation evaluatesasfalseatanypointduringthestabilitydelay,thecountdown
willstop,andtheCall to Start willremainFalse.
Notice: The Call to Start will always be evaluating the start conditions, even when the
Generator Control is Disabled, so that the user can test the logic without starting the generator.
Furthermore, the Call to Start will be evaluated even while the generator is running. If the Call
to Start is True when the generator shuts down, the generator will immediately startup again.
Therefore, care should be taken when defining start and stop conditions so that they do not
interfere with each other.
14.5.2. Stop logic
TheStop Logic choicedecideswhetherjustone,orallstopconditionsmustbetruefortheCall to Stop
tobecometrue.Thisdecideshowthestopconditionswillbeassembledintoalogicalequation.
TheStop Equation isanautomaticallywrittenequationofalltheenabledstopconditions.Ifthereis
morethenonestopcondition,theequationwillbeassembledwith'&'or'|'symbolsaccordingtothe
Stop Logic.IfallstopconditionsmustbetruefortheStop Equation toevaluatetotrue,thenthe
equationwillbewrittenas"MyStopCondition1&MyStopCondition2".Ifjustonestopconditionmustbe
truefortheStop Equation toevaluatetotrue,thentheequationwillbewrittenas"MyStopCondition1|
MyStopCondition2".
TheCall to Stop isbasedonthelogicalresultoftheStop Equation,astrueorfalse.Forexample,
ifastopconditioncausestheStop Equation tochangefromfalsetotrue,thentheCall to Stop will
begincountingdownfortheconfigureddurationoftheEquation Stability Delay.IftheStop Equation
continuestoevaluateastruethroughthewholestabilitydelay,thentheCall to Stop willbecomeTrue.
Otherwise,iftheStop Equation evaluatesasfalseatanypointduringthestabilitydelay,thecountdown
willstop,andtheCall to Stop willremainFalse.
